Medium Season 5

Chatting with dead people, seeing the future and reading minds is all in a day’s work when MEDIUM returns for a fifth bone-chilling season, Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT (NBC simulcast), beginning February 2 on ‘A’ (visit to confirm local broadcast times). Inspired by the real-life story of research medium Allison DuBois, the critically-acclaimed series reveals how DuBois uses her psychic abilities to assist the district attorney’s office solve violent crimes. Starring Emmy Award-winning actress Patricia Arquette (Stigmata), who nabbed the prestigious award in 2005 for Outstanding Lead Actress in the series, MEDIUM follows this compelling wife and mother who struggles to make sense of her dreams and visions of dead people.

Last season left off with Allison’s abilities being made public, putting a strain on both her family and professional life. The fifth season opens with her family’s world returning to normalcy in the wake of her psychic outing.

In the premiere episode, “Soul Survivor,” airing Monday, February 2 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Allison (Patricia Arquette) tries to help Devalos (Miguel Sandoval, ALIAS) solve the recent murder of his friend’s sister. Her dreams keep pointing to the friend’s first husband, Nathan, who died in a car accident two years ago. The case takes an unexpected turn once she learns more about the woman’s current husband, Joel (guest star Max Casella, THE SOPRANOS). Meanwhile, Bridgette (Maria Lark) is sent to the principal’s office for drawing nude pictures of her art teacher.
