In this must-see, exciting live finale, all of “The Biggest Loser” families from this season return for a special reunion and a chance to weigh in one last time – and show America how much weight they’ve all lost since beginning their weight-loss journeys. There are four contestants left, but America has voted on the two that fell below the yellow line in last week’s episode to choose who will be the third finalist in the game. After America’s vote is revealed and the third finalist is announced, the eliminated player will then weigh in with the other 12 eliminated contestants to compete for the $100,000 “at home” prize. Then it’s the moment viewers have been waiting for, when one of the three finalists will be named this season’s “Biggest Loser” and win the coveted grand prize of $250,000! Plus, there will be a special sneak preview of season 7. Alison Sweeney is the host, and trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels also star.

CTV revealed a midseason schedule today starring the hottest series on television. The schedule officially kicks off the week of January 5 with a new Monday night comedy block; the move of FRINGE, one of this fall’s biggest hits, to CTV on Tuesday, January 6; and the return of the hit CTV original series FLASHPOINT on Friday, January 9. Anchoring it all is the #1 television program in the country, AMERICAN IDOL, which returns with a four-hour, two-night, eighth season premiere on Tuesday, January 13 and Wednesday, January 14 at 8 p.m. ET. New to the schedule is the legal drama RAISING THE BAR, beginning Friday, January 9 from Emmy-Award winner Steven Bochco (NYPD BLUE, HILL STREET BLUES, LA LAW) and starring Canadians Currie Graham, Gloria Reuben and Jonathan Scarfe.

Viewers can also look forward to the highly-anticipated series finales of ER on Thursday, March 12 from 9-11 p.m. ET and Canada’s #1 comedy series, CORNER GAS (date TBA). See “Schedule” below for a night-by-night listing of programming.

The announcement comes as CTV continues to chart eight of the Top 10 programs on Canadian television this fall – not only among total viewers, but among A25-54 and A18-49 as well. CTV also lays claim to Canada’s #1 program overall and #1 drama (CRIMINAL MINDS), and Canada’s #1 comedy series (CORNER GAS). CTV’s average primetime audience this fall (1.414 million) continues to distance itself from the competition, delivering nearly double the number of viewers in primetime than Global (734,000).*

“The midseason schedule picks up on the momentum of Canada’s # 1 Fall schedule with the return of Canada’s favourite series, blockbuster finales and special major events,” said Susanne Boyce, President, Creative, Content and Channels, CTV Inc.
