Sarah makes contact with an old friend to ask a favour, while John decides to pay a visit to Sarah’s ex and Cameron makes a new friend. Together they infiltrate a resistance safe house and discover they are not alone. Meanwhile, Agent Ellison realizes that Sarah is still alive, and a dangerous person from Sarah’s past is reawakened.

In the series premiere, Sarah Connor (Lena Headey) struggles to keep her son John (Thomas Dekker) safe from an enemy Terminator from the future. She uproots their lives and takes him to live in a small town in New Mexico where he befriends Cameron (Summer Glau) who ultimately becomes his protector. Meanwhile, FBI Agent James Ellison (Richard T. Jones) continues his hunt for Sarah.

A vision of the future prompts Eli to take the case of a prisoner who’s been denied parole and happens to be a former client of Keith’s. Unfortunately, the timing couldn’t be worse, because law firm partner Marci Klein (guest star Katey Sagal, Boston Legal) is in town to investigate why the firm’s Fortune 500 clients are leaving in droves (hint: it’s Eli’s fault) which could mean the end of Jordan’s reign as senior partner. Meanwhile, Matt’s efforts to win Taylor over lead to a case involving two gay chimpanzees

A car accident involving two foster children leads Detectives Beck and Detective Stabler to the foster parents, and some questionable medical practices involving a controversial “rebirthing” therapy. As the detectives dig deeper into the case, they discover other gruesome secrets involving the children, which lead Beck to make some surprising choices about her life and a profound decision about her career.

As TGS’ summer hiatus approaches, Liz deals with the difficulties of her long-distance relationship with Floyd (guest star Jason Sudeikis, Saturday Night Live) while enlisting Kenneth’s help in locating on-the-lam Tracy. Meanwhile, Jack’s impending marriage to Phoebe (guest star Emily Mortimer, Lars and the Real Girl) brings his mother, Colleen Donaghy (Emmy Award-winner Elaine Stritch, Law & Order), to town. Emmy winner Sean Hayes (Will & Grace), and Chris Parnell (Saturday Night Live) also guest star.

When jeweler Victor Madison (guest star Ted Koch, Cashmere Mafia) is found murdered, Detectives Lupo and Bernard investigate a peculiar deposit made into Madison’s bank account. The deposit leads the detectives to Madison’s brother-in-law, Frank Beezley (guest star Eric Sheffer Stevens, Invasion), who was running an illegal prostitution ring, The Excalibur Club. The subsequent trial gets risky for Jack McCoy when his job is threatened.

Holly and Jimmy Tafoya’s three rambunctious boys have them at wits’ end. Their oldest lies to them constantly, and all the boys tend to slip out of Mom’s supervision, whether at home or elsewhere. Unfortunately, Jimmy’s parenting style tends towards yelling, cursing and hitting. Holly makes James swallow liquid soap to teach him a lesson, and a shocked Jo asks, “Are you insane?” In one of the most shocking Supernanny moments ever, Holly walks out of Jo’s parent meeting and tells her to leave the house.

Jenny meets a new guy, Asher Hornsby (guest star Jesse Swenson, Army Wives), who just might be her ticket to permanent popularity. Finally, Blair hatches a secret plan to sabotage her biggest rival, Nelly Yuki (guest star Yin Chang, Law & Order: Criminal Intent).
