After Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) reveals why Serena really fled Manhattan for boarding school, Serena falls back into her old habits and Blair, Nate and Chuck put their complicated feelings for each other aside to help their friend. Unfortunately, Serena is too ashamed to share the truth with Dan, leaving him to assume the worse about his girlfriend. Rufus is thrilled when his band is invited to perform at a Rolling Stone-sponsored concert, but Lily is the last person on earth he expects to see at the performance, especially since her wedding rehearsal dinner is the same night. Singer Lisa Loeb and famous cake designer Sylvia Weinstock appear in the episode as themselves.

When Sarah’s friend Andy submits his computer into a chess competition, she revaluates his computer’s capabilities and worries where it could all lead. During the chess match, Sarah comes face-to-face with a stranger whose history is closely tied to hers. Meanwhile at school, Cameron gets called into grief counseling and John makes a new friend in shop class. Agent Ellison discovers remnants from a Terminator battle.

A woman is found dead in Central Park, and medical examiner Warner can find no apparent reason for her death. Stabler begins the investigation by himself, talking to the victim’s husband, Wesley, who owns a dance troupe, as his friends Glenn (Bob Saget, Full House) and Naomi Cheales (Catherine Bell, Army Wives) pay a condolence visit. Stabler’s investigation unravels a case of drugs, infidelity and an elaborate plot that impacts everyone involved in the troupe. Bernadette Peters (Boston Legal) guest-stars as Attorney Stella Danquiss, who defends Glenn. Stabler also discovers Benson is back in town, so he pays her a visit.
