Law & Order: SVU syndicates from September 1 on Citytv

Catch up on all of the drama, crime and intrigue of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” weeknights at 7pm on Citytv beginning Monday, September 1st, in stripped syndication.

This award-winning series chronicles the life and crimes of the Special Victims Unit of the New York Police Department, a highly-specialized squad of detectives who investigate sexually based crimes. Lead by Captain Donald Cragen (Dann Florek) this elite force must tackle the complex and sometimes unpredictable cases that come through the door on a daily basis.

The drama follows Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), a seasoned veteran of the unit who has seen it all, and his partner, Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), who joined the unit as a way of coping with her difficult past and history of rape. Rounding out the team is Detective John Munch, (Richard Belzer) a hard-nosed transfer from Baltimore’s homicide unit and his partner, Detective Odafin “Fin” Tutuola (Ice-T), who’s unique sense of humor and investigative experience make him a formidable match for Munch.

Together, the Special Victims Unit confronts some of the most horrifying crimes in New York City all the while trying to balance their personal lives and supporting each other in the line of duty.
