Just how giving are you? That’s the question at the centre of Oprah Winfrey’s new series, Oprah’s Big Give, which challenges 10 competitors to change the lives of complete strangers in creative and dramatic ways. Hosted by The Oprah Winfrey Show contributor and interior designer Nate Berkus, the feel good new series premieres Sunday, March 2 at 9 p.m. ET on CTV (visit to confirm local broadcast times). Oprah’s Big Give encores Mondays at 9 p.m. ET beginning March 3 on Star!

Through eight one-hour episodes, a diverse, determined and competitive group of contestants are given the challenge of a lifetime as they criss-cross the United States: to find ways to impact the fates and fortunes of unsuspecting people who are in for the surprise of their lives. As the gifts get bigger and tensions mount, one person will be crowned “The Biggest Giver” and will win a surprise $1 million grand prize.

In the debut episode, the 10 contestants are given the names and pictures of complete strangers, people whose lives they must make a positive impact on in just five days. At the end of the challenge, the contestants will be judged on their leadership, accomplishments, creativity and presentation with one giver being eliminated.

Determining the fate of the “givers” are judges world-renowned “Naked” chef and philanthropist Jamie Oliver, NFL star Tony Gonzalez, and Malaak Compton-Rock, charity founder and the wife of comedian Chris Rock.

As the competition heats up, executive producer Oprah Winfrey will make special appearances along with celebrity guests, including Jennifer Aniston, John Travolta, Jada Pinkett-Smith, tennis legend Andre Agassi, skateboarder Tony Hawk and racing star Danica Patrick.

Chosen from thousand of hopefuls, the 10 contestants were discovered during auditions held in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Nashville:

Angelo, 30, a West Point graduate and Iraq War veteran from Ann Arbor, MI
Brandi, 23, a pageant queen from Chicago, IL
