1.6 Million Viewers for CTV's Private Practice

Private Practice received another fantastic bill of health last night when 1.6 million viewers watched out of simulcast on CTV, data from BBM Nielsen Research confirms today.

Out of simulcast, the breakout hit delivered as many viewers last night as its series premiere in simulcast on CTV/ABC on Sept. 26.

Private Practice is up 17% from last week, won its timeslot for the night in all key demos and was the No. 3 program of the evening.

Since it first began airing out of simulcast on CTV during its second week, Private Practice is up 32% among total viewers, 37% among A25-54 and 10% among A18-49. In the last three weeks, Private Practice has grown from 1.08 million to 1.38 million to 1.6 million among total viewers. The series remains Canada’s #1 new series with an average audience of 1.4 million viewers, followed by this fall’s other breakout hit, Pushing Daisies, also seen on CTV.

Also Wednesday, CTV’s CSI: NY became the most-watched television program of the week when it delivered 2.463 million viewers to rank #1 for the night. CTV’s Criminal Minds had its most-watched episode of the season and placed in the #2 position with 2.438 million viewers, including 1.5 million viewers A25-54 and 1.295 million viewers A18-49.
