New Episodes Are Pouring into Primetime This April on CTV

Take a rain-check and chill out with CTV’s not-to-miss primetime line-up full of new episodes, specials and documentaries throughout the month of April. Programming highlights for March 31 – April 15 include:

• Nip/Tuck moves to Saturdays at 10 p.m. in all markets beginning March 31 (Rosie O’Donnell guest stars)
• The JUNOS red carpet arrivals special will air exclusively on The CTV Broadband Network at CTV.ca and MTV.ca beginning at 6 p.m. ET (April 1)
• eTalk at the JUNOS is rolling out the red carpet for the JUNOS in Saskatoon (April 1)
• Nelly Furtado hosts The 2007 JUNO Awards from Saskatoon (April 1)
• The Amazing Race heads to Poland in a special two hour episode (April 1)
• Seamus O’Regan joins the rest of the Canada AM team from Saskatoon with JUNO Awards highlights (April 2)
• Legendary rock ‘n’ roll songwriter and musician Neil Sedaka visits the Canada AM studio (April 4)
• Tony Bennett performs on American Idol (April 4)
• The CTV Original Documentary In The Cards: The Deal on Canada’s Bridge Bums follows Canadians involved in the surprisingly competitive world of professional bridge (April 7)
• Criminal Minds moves to Sundays at 10 p.m. beginning April 8
• Canada AM marks the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge (April 9)
• Platinum-selling vocalist Jennifer Lopez will coach the Top 8 and perform on American Idol (April 10, 11)
• Jeffrey Dean Morgan returns as Denny to host a one-hour special of Grey’s Anatomy (April 12)

Saturday, March 31
9 p.m. ET – Robson Arms – “Mussolini and Me”
When Yuri’s older brother, the firecracker-dealing, alcoholic Valentino shows up for an unanticipated visit, their dysfunctional family dynamic is revealed.

9:30 p.m. ET – Jeff Ltd. – “Size Matters”
Jeff falls big time for the agency’s new client, the owner of an organic food empire, and fantasizes about the genetic perfection of their potential offspring. Meanwhile, Samir’s new carpet store commercials have Uncle Kazem fuming and plotting to take ‘an eye for an eye.’

10 p.m. ET – Nip/Tuck – “Dawn Budge”
Christian earns a fortune from a rags-to-riches client, Dawn Budge (recurring guest star Rosie O’Donnell), when she requests surgical makeovers for her entire family. Nonetheless, Christian continues longing for what he does not have: an honest and loving relationship. Meanwhile, James (recurring guest star Jacqueline Bisset) blackmails Christian while forcing a terrified Michelle to remember her past actions. Sean makes Julia a very romantic offer and Kimber convinces Matt to move out of his parents’ house.

Sunday, April 1
6 p.m. ET – JUNOS Red Carpet Special – The CTV Broadband Network at CTV.ca and MTV.ca
Co-hosted by eTalk’s Red Carpet team along with MTV Live hosts Aliya-Jasmine Sovani and Johnny Hockin the JUNOS red carpet arrivals special airs exclusively on CTV.ca and MTV.ca beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

6:30 p.m. ET – eTalk at the Junos
Canada’s music awards are set to take over Saskatoon, and like every year, Canada’s favourite entertainment show is there with eTalk at the JUNOS, the official red carpet special. Before the JUNOS begin, celebrities arrive in style thanks to eTalk’s talented designers, producers, hosts and legions of fans. The full red carpet special can also been seen on demand on The CTV Broadband Network at CTV.ca.

7 p.m. ET – The 2007 JUNO Awards
Airing from the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon and hosted by International Superstar Nelly Furtado, The 2007 JUNO Awards honours the biggest names in Canadian music. Performers include DJ Champion, Patrick Watson, The Tragically Hip, Alexisonfire, City and Colour, Billy Talent, k-os, Gregory Charles, Nelly Furtado and Three Days Grace.

9 p.m. ET – The Amazing Race – “If I Were in Town I Would Ask For Your Number”
In a two hour special, teams head to Warsaw, Poland where a disagreement sparks an intense argument and name calling between teammates.

Monday, April 2
6:30 a.m. ET – Canada AM
Seamus O’Regan joins the rest of the Canada AM team from Saskatoon with JUNO Awards highlights from Sunday’s show. Also from April 2 – 5, Canada AM looks at the lives of Canadian soldiers who fought at Vimy Ridge through the eyes of students who are researching them. The students are preparing to travel to Vimy, France to represent the soldier they are researching for the 90th anniversary of the Battle.

8 p.m. ET – Dancing With The Stars
Ten teams remain vying for the chance to be crowned champion of Dancing with the Stars.

Tuesday, April 3
8 p.m. ET – American Idol
Tonight the Top 9 finalists will perform LIVE for the nation after being coached by legendary vocalist Tony Bennett.

9 p.m. ET – Dancing With The Stars
The couple with the lowest score as determined by a combination of the judges scores and viewers votes, will be dismissed from the competition by evenings end.

10 p.m. ET – Law & Order: Special Victims Unit – “Responsible”
An honor student dies at a party. While the primary suspect is their alcohol supplier, the four honors students who threw the party are arrested for criminally negligent homicide. Det. Stabler enlists his own teenage daughter Kathleen (Allison Siko) to guide him through the world of teenage cyberspace to find out where the next party is taking place. The website leads to the home of one of the students, where they find the mother of one of the kids – Lillian Rice (guest star Laura Leighton) in a compromising position, and she is arrested. The arrest and entire cyberspace scenario hits a personal nerve with Stabler. Judith Light guest stars.

Wednesday, April 4
6:30 a.m. ET – Canada AM
Legendary rock ‘n’ roll songwriter and musician Neil Sedaka visits the studio and performs two of his greatest hits and chats with the hosts.

8 p.m. ET – Lost – “Left Behind”
After discovering that one of her own has betrayed her to The Others, Kate is left to fend for herself in the jungle with Juliet. Meanwhile, Hurley warns Sawyer to change his selfish ways and make amends with his fellow survivors or he may face a vote of banishment.

9 p.m. ET – American Idol
Last night, after coaching by legendary singer Tony Bennett, the Top 9 finalists sang their hearts out in hopes of winning America’s votes. Tune in tonight to enjoy a special LIVE performance by Bennett. The contestant receiving the fewest votes will be eliminated from the competition.

9:30 p.m. ET – Degrassi: The Next Generation – “Free Fallin’, Part 2”
With her degree in jeopardy and the little issue of a dramatic dorm fire, Paige develops a Banting “allergy”. She slinks home to Toronto with her tail between her legs, but keeps the truth about what happened to herself. Despite rising panic attacks and friends who just might understand, Paige is committed to keeping her secret, no matter what.

Thursday, April 5
8 p.m. ET – Desperate Housewives – “The Juiciest Bites”
A one-hour special which highlights some of the most memorable moments from past episodes.

9 p.m. ET – CSI – “Big Shots”
Greg is forced to again contend with the hostile mother and brother of the hoodlum he killed in self-defense several months ago when the CSI team discovers that the brother is involved in a new murder case.

Friday, April 6
8 p.m. ET – Ghost Whisperer – “Delia’s First Ghost”
After witnessing the spirit of Delia’s husband sabotaging Delia’s date, Melinda puts their friendship to the test and reveals her unique ability.

9 p.m. ET – Close to Home – “Maternal Instincts”
Annabeth prosecutes a man suspected of murdering his father but when the supposed killer’s mother recants her first assertion that her son assaulted her and killed his dad, the case falters.

10 p.m. ET – Law & Order – “Bling”
A rap musician is found murdered, and while there are multiple suspects, the reason for her demise is not the obvious one. Detectives Ed Green (Jesse L. Martin) and Nina Cassady (Milena Govich) are determined to find out whether this was a random homicide or connected to her work in the music business.

Saturday, April 7
7 p.m. ET – The CTV Original Documentary – In The Cards: The Deal on Canada’s Bridge Bums
Poker gets all the headlines these days, but there are also people who make a living playing a card game that time seems to have forgot – contract bridge. Playing on teams “sponsored” by incredibly rich bridge players, think Bill Gates or Warren Buffett, two of the hottest young stars on the professional bridge circuit are Canadians.

9 p.m. ET – Robson Arms – “All About Kitty”
Toni’s life has her feeling old, unattractive, and underappreciated. To make matters worse, Elvis, the new property manager, is jacking up the rent on the store beyond their reach and she’s in the throes of menopause.

9:30 p.m. ET – Jeff Ltd. – “The Yachtsman”
Jeff receives a hefty bill when he hosts a wild party on the wrong yacht. Jeff thinks Liz’s new intern is a crazy psycho-stalker with a ‘Jeff’ obsession.

10 p.m. ET – Nip/Tuck – “Faith Wolper, PH.D”
While trying to arrange a second honeymoon for himself and Julia, Sean learns that a nanny the couple had hired, Monica Wilder (recurring guest star Jennifer Hall), has no intention of leaving. Christian’s therapist, Dr. Faith Wolper (recurring guest star Brooke Shields), reveals her obsession, as Christian wrestles with his relationship woes. Burt Landau (recurring guest star Larry Hagman) discovers the affair going on between Michelle and Christian and proposes an unorthodox solution. Recurring guest star Peter Dinklage appears as Marlowe Sawyer.

Sunday, April 8
8 p.m. ET – The Amazing Race
The remaining teams continue to race for the million dollar prize.

9 p.m. ET – Desperate Housewives – “Dress Big”
Susan discovers some revealing secrets about her future in-laws, Gaby has a devastating catastrophe at her home, and an unexpected love affair develops on Wisteria Lane.

Monday, April 9
6:30 a.m. ET – Canada AM
Canada AM marks the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge and speaks to experts, students and family members as the anniversary ceremony gets underway in Vimy, France. Also, from April 9-13 Canada AM gives you information to get your motor running with everything you need to know about car care.

8 p.m. ET – Dancing With The Stars
The nine remaining teams perform ballroom dances.

10 p.m. ET – CSI: Miami – “Bloodline”
Horatio suspects that the County Supervisor and the owners of a nearby Native American Casino may be involved when a murder victim is found scalped.

Tuesday, April 10
8 p.m. ET – American Idol
Tonight on American Idol the Top 8 finalists will perform LIVE for the nation, vying for the American Idol crown. Platinum-selling vocalist Jennifer Lopez coaches the contestants before they perform on stage in hopes of winning Americas vote and surviving another week.

9 p.m. ET – Dancing With The Stars
The couple with the lowest score, as determined by a combination of the judges scores and viewers votes, will be dismissed from the competition.

Wednesday, April 11
8 p.m. ET – Lost – “One of Us”
Jacks joyous reunion with his fellow survivors is cut short when they realize that accompanying him is one of The Others, and Claire is stricken by a mysterious, life-threatening illness.

9 p.m. ET – American Idol
Last night, the Top 8 finalists sang their hearts out in hopes of winning America over. Find out tonight who will sing again next week and who will go home, and enjoy a special LIVE performance from multi-talented star Jennifer Lopez.

10 p.m. ET – CSI: New York – “What Schemes May Come”
A knight in shining armor stabbed with a lance surfaces in Central Park, and a body lives after pronounced dead.

Thursday, April 12
8 p.m. ET – Grey’s Anatomy – “Greys Anatomy: Every Moment Counts”
Loved by Grey’s Anatomy fans for his role as Denny, actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan hosts a one-hour special which highlights some of the most memorable moments from the last three seasons.

9 p.m. ET – CSI – “Lab Rats”
While Grissom and the rest of the CSIs are out investigating new cases, Hodges leads Archie, Henry, Mandy and Wendy to believe that Grissom wants them to secretly band together that evening in an attempt to solve the four miniature killer cases.

10 p.m. ET – ER – “Photographs and Memories”
Sam (Linda Cardellini) and Morris (Scott Grimes) are caught off guard when a photographer (guest star Annabella Sciorra) comes into the ER snapping photos alongside a terminally ill patient. Neela (Parminder Nagra) continues to feel upstaged by the new surgical intern that seems to be Dr. Dubenko’s (Leland Orser) new favorite. Meanwhile, it is Sam’s birthday (Linda Cardellini) and all she can think about is Alex (Dominic Janes).

Saturday, April 14
9 p.m. ET – Robson Arms – “Lizard of Doubt”
When Andrew gets serious about having a baby, Chris gets nervous about their relationship changing – bye-bye spontaneity, hello responsibility.

9:30 p.m. ET – Jeff Ltd. – “Contra-Dynamantics”
When Liz sends Jeff to a weekend business seminar, he is transformed into the consummate professional. Newly empowered by the doctrine of “contra-dynamantics,” Jeff decides that he alone can cure Gavin’s blind grandmother.

10 p.m. ET – Nip/Tuck – “Burt Landau”
Dawn Budge returns to McNamara/Troy seeking reconstructive surgery. The ill Liz receives much-needed help from an unexpected source. Following a stroke, Burt Landau demands facial surgery. Kimber shuns Matt’s advances but succumbs to Christian’s. And Sean struggles with the man he has become.

Sunday, April 15
7 p.m. ET – Cold Case – “Cargo”
The cold case team re-opens the 2005 case involving the murder of a longshoreman who inadvertently got in the middle of a profitable human trafficking ring lead by the Russian mob

8 p.m. ET – The Amazing Race
The race around the world continues as the remaining teams continue to battle for the million dollar prize.

9 p.m. ET – Desperate Housewives – “Liaisons”
Tom feels threatened by the interest a new Scavo`s Pizzeria employee shows in Lynette, Susan considers moving from Wisteria Lane and a neighbour’s darkest secret is revealed.

10 p.m. ET – Criminal Minds – “Honour Among Thieves”
Agent Prentiss’ mother, Ambassador Elizabeth Prentiss (Kate Jackson, Charlie’s Angels), asks the BAU team to help locate a Russian immigrant who has been kidnapped and held for ransom.
